Science Vision Statement

At Fairview, we enable children to explore and discover the world around them with confidence, so that they have a deeper understanding of the ever-changing world we live in. We believe that Science should ignite pupil’s curiosity through practical hands-on experiences that foster a thirst for scientific knowledge and vocabulary, encourage questioning and challenge young inquisitive minds. Learning should provide exciting opportunities for children to make connections and develop a bank of core transferable enquiry skills which will equip them to be life-long learners. Children should be motivated to further enhance the joy of learning ‘how’ and ‘why’ and nurture this passion for awe and wonder.
