Forest School

Fairview Forest School

Forest School is an inspirational process, that offers ALL learners opportunities to achieve and develop confidence and self-esteem through hands-on learning experiences in a woodland or natural environment. All activities have been risk assessed we have a specialist teacher who has been fully trained to run Forest School.

It is a great place for bonding with classmates, sharing new experiences, being creative and great for Physical Development, Personal, Social and Emotional Development and a place to explore and care for our environment.

Throughout this academic year, all our children, from nursery to year 6, will take part in Forest School sessions.

Qualified Forest School Teacher

Our sessions are carried out by Mrs Sara Donovan, who has a Level 3 qualification in Forest School Leadership. Mrs Donovan loves being outside and is extremely passionate about children learning different, hands-on skills outside of the typical classroom environment.

Year 1 Forest School Fence

The year 1s have been working really hard in their session to build a fence around Forest school. This is to stop anyone playing there at break/lunch times and before/after school. Please remind all children to keep away from the fence and forest school during these times to keep our outside learning environment as nice as possible.
