PSHE
PSHE Vision Statement
At Fairview, it is our aim for children to develop the knowledge, skills and attributes they need to keep themselves healthy and safe, and prepared for life and work.
We strive for the children to develop our school values and become a community of responsible learners who not only demonstrate collaboration and perseverance in their work, but who also show kindness, respect and honesty towards one another.
We aim for children to develop positive relationships with themselves and others, and to develop their knowledge and understanding of British Values (Democracy, Rule of law, Individual liberty, Mutual respect AND tolerance of those of different faiths) which, together, are designed to promote an equal and just society.

1Decision PSHE
At Fairview, we use the 1Decision Scheme of Learning to support our teaching of PSHE to support children in developing the skills they need to stay safe, healthy, and happy. Designed for children aged 3–11, the award-winning programme uses fun, interactive activities to help pupils build their confidence, learn important vocabulary, and understand how to make positive, informed choices. Our aim is to give children the knowledge and confidence to make safe decisions, both in school and in everyday life, even when a trusted adult is not nearby.
Importantly, the resources are designed to complement and build on the positive guidance children already receive at home, ensuring consistency between school and family in supporting every child’s development.
