Performing Arts At Fairview
Performing Arts At Fairview
Hello! My name is Miss Black, and I am so excited to be joining Fairview School as the new Performing Arts Teacher, especially as we move from Music to a vibrant and creative Performing Arts programme.
I have been a performing arts teacher for many years and bring a strong passion for helping children grow through dance, drama, and singing. Before teaching, I was also a performer myself, which has given me a deep love for the stage and a strong understanding of the confidence, courage, and joy that performing can bring.
I truly believe that performing arts is amazing for children. It builds confidence, encourages self-expression, boosts energy and creativity, and helps students develop teamwork, communication, and resilience. Performing arts provides a safe space for children to explore who they are, try new things, and celebrate their individuality.
My goal is to create a fun, inclusive, and supportive environment where every child feels comfortable expressing themselves and discovering their own strengths — whether they love being in the spotlight or prefer to grow their confidence step by step.
I can’t wait to share my love of performing arts with the Fairview community and look forward to inspiring students to learn, create, and shine.

The children represented our school fantastically and were wonderful supporters too, clapping and cheering on their fellow competitors.
We came away with the ‘Most Enthusiastic Performance’ trophy, and we couldn’t be prouder! ![]()
