Term 1 - WW2: Escape to the Country

We kicked off our theme for the term by carrying out an exciting escape room tasks.

The children were sent a special top secret mission by Winston Churchill himself! Their task was to crack the codes using typical ciphers used during WW2 to find the 4-digit code to the safe for Anne Frank's diary!

Thankfully we escaped and had lots of fun learning facts about WW2 during the task!

Enjoy looking at the pictures below.

Rationing - Coconut Ice Making!

We had a lot of fun this afternoon making coconut ice. It was a very sticky, very messy time but it gave the children the opportunity to use a range of skills such as measuring, weighing and team work. It was good fun to follow a recipe for something we hadn't ever made before. Fingers crossed that the final product will taste good!
